Bio
Astraglide is one of the house identities of Tony Thomas, with a catalogue that favours deep and soulful grooves while also reaching into jackin and tech house. The project forms part of a wider career built on rhythm, dub and stylistic variety. Thomas began releasing electronic music in 1992 after playing in punk, dub-reggae and jazz bands, and later collaborated with Alan Barratt as The Producers and DJ Hal as Red Moon. He developed different aliases to give his contrasting musical strands their own identities. Astraglide has appeared through Ambiosphere and Moxi, as well as remixing Chuck Love for Onethirty. Thomas's international DJ years included fabric, The End and Amnesia; more recently he has concentrated on production and his own labels, changing his working methods as new influences arrive.
