Bio
Tony Thomas is a UK house and techno producer whose music revolves around rhythm, dub and the sustained pull of a club groove. His album 21st Century Dub on Soma gives that approach a full-length form, while releases on Hooj, End Recordings, Subliminal and Stereo Productions connect him to several different strands of dance music. His DJ history includes fabric and The End in London, Amnesia in Ibiza, Rex Club in Paris and Zouk in Singapore.
Running labels has been as important as recording for them. Alongside his own Cubic, Moxi and Ambiosphere imprints, Thomas co-founded Cubism with Mark Gwinnett, building on a relationship that began when he signed Gwinnett's early productions. He has also worked with Alan Barratt as The Producers and DJ Hal as Red Moon. Those partnerships sit within a long career of aliases, independent releases and music made for the shared experience of a dancefloor.
