BLOND:ISH brings together house music, large-scale gatherings and an interest in what a party can leave behind. Now the solo project of Vivie-Ann Bakos, the name began as a Montreal duo with Anstascia D'Elene Corniere. Their releases on Kompakt and Get Physical, including Welcome to the Present, established an exploratory approach that Bakos continued after the partnership ended in 2019.
Her sets move through melodic and Afro house, with vocal collaborations extending that range in the studio. Abracadabra has become a home for the surrounding community through both events and records, including a headline residency at Pacha Ibiza that began in 2025. Appearances at Burning Man, Tomorrowland and Coachella place the project on a wider international circuit.
The album Never Walk Alone draws on the connection she feels with listeners who contact her for encouragement. Beyond music, she co-founded Bye Bye Plastic with Camille Guitteau, working to reduce single-use plastics at music events. That practical initiative sits beside the collective spirit she wants to foster on a dancefloor.
