The today 31-year-old man from Mecklenburg, the northeastern state of Germany, used to DJ at parties already as an underage kid. His outer appearance might be calmness personified – but when it comes to music, Stephan Zovsky turns out to be a man of extremes: If quiet, than quiet as it can be. If rocking, than rocking as it can be. His easy-going character moderates between atmospheres and moods that are very different. He merges them into one harmonic formula… a formula written in the universal language of House Music. How good this formula works on the floor is something Stephan proved again and again during the past 18 years. DJing is a rich source of inspiration for his studio work, and his studio work is a rich source of inspiration for his DJ sets. From his early steps in the music scene, Serval has been supported by an impressive list of prominent figures, including Joris Voorn, ANII, Haze-M, Armen Miran, Ziger, Allies For Everyone, Mariano Mellino, EZEK, Nihil Young, and Ilario Alicante, among others. His music, rooted in Melodic Techno and Deep House, stands out for its deep emotion and distinctive touch of darkness, giving it a unique and recognizable personality.

Inspired by the sound of 80s electronic rock, Serval blends elements from iconic bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, and Joy Division with influences from minimalist techno figures like Richie Hawtin, Magda, Troy Pierce, and Marc Houle. This combination of influences results in music that conveys profound emotion and an immersive atmosphere.

In addition to his work as a producer, Serval shares his passion and knowledge as a production teacher, guiding the next generation of talent in the art of music creation. With a solid educational background acquired at leading production schools such as SONICA, MAD, and ARJAUS, Serval has honed his craft with two audio technical degrees, one completed at Aural Escuela and another at the prestigious UTN. Furthermore, his experience as a mixing and mastering engineer allows him to take his creations to the highest level of sonic quality, ensuring that each track reaches its full potential.
