Bio
Miss Melera’s DJing and productions connect deep and progressive sounds with melodic techno. Based in Amsterdam, she has built Colourizon into a continuing platform for that musical range: launched as a monthly radio show in 2012, it expanded into events where she could present her own sets and invite other artists. Long sets are important to her approach, with Nick Warren and Hernán Cattaneo among the DJs she has cited as inspirations. Her touring has taken her across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas, including performances at Fusion Festival and Warung in Brazil. Closing Warung’s Garden after Gui Boratto in 2015 led to a relationship with its label, where she later released Horizon. The EP drew its melodies from horizons encountered while travelling, but its tracks were also made to fit her own DJ sets. Releases on This Never Happened, Colorize and DAYS like NIGHTS, plus her remix of Warren’s “Cobble Pot,” extend a production career that remains closely connected to her work behind the decks.
