Bio

Karizma's musical identity begins with Baltimore and a DJ career that started at thirteen. His work with DJ Spen and the Basement Boys placed him within the city's house tradition, while his productions and remixes have moved through soulful house, broken rhythms and more electronically driven territory. He also works as Kaytronik, bringing an ongoing fascination with drums, drum machines, strings and keyboards into that alter ego. That curiosity links his studio output to his reputation as an inventive DJ. Rather than keeping each strand separate, he brings rhythmic play and a broad musical vocabulary to both the booth and his recordings.
