Boghosian

Torquato

The inaugural collaboration from Torquato & Boghosian is a deeply spiritual voyage through deep melodies, ghostly vocals of indeterminate gender and African influenced percussion. Torquato & Boghosian draw on a vast array of influences, mixing old school house vibes with modern electronic timbres and the flavours of their home country, Brazil. 

Their varied offering comprises 10 tracks and takes in the most distant  facets of the deep house genre from the rolling depths of ‘Sabebe’ on to the happy piano chords of ‘I Saw Her’ and the techier, more tracky ‘Hypnosis’. 

This level of artistry and quality should come as no surprise; Paulo Boghosian and Andre Torquato are already established staples of the Brazilian deep house movement and count residencies for Warung and Circo Loco, and releases on the esteemed Cecille Numbers among their enviable achievements. Notably, Andre Torquato is one third of Nomumbah, a group that has previously held acclaim on the Yoruba imprint with the well received 2007 album ‘Loves Moves’.
