Carlo Lio & Nathan Barato met in early 2000. iIt didn’t take long for them to realize that together, musically, they could make magic. As their friendship grew, so did their music arsenal, especially in their native city of Toronto. The duo known as “The Roaches“ blew up the local underground scene with their unique sound and devoted following bringing the vibe wherever they played. They were unstoppable.

While The Roaches launched the Rawthentic Music label in 2005, both artists' individual careers also launched. Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato were both blowing up premiere international platforms, labels and stages across the globe.

Their careers took different paths, bringing them both amazing success and recognition, but the Rawthentic Music label continued to hold them together, and brought them back to continue what they started with the re-launch of the label in 2018.

With the addition of Andy and Mario, who bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the table. The team can become more event-driven. Bringing their global expertise in event planning and execution to create memorable experiences for Everyone | Save the Children ’s always exciting to have a growing and dynamic team!

With Carlo & Nathan’s new commitment to Rawthentic , they provided a home for artists alike, showcasing a sound that's sexy & groovy with heavy baselines. The focus moving forward is to do more Rawthentic showcases, to implement their knowledge of sound and vision of what an event should feel like.
