Celestial Recordings came about because of two people’s passion and vision to develop a new era in dance music branding. Celestial is the brainchild of Jim Shaft Ryan the creator of the legendary dance music brands Miss Moneypenny’s and Chuff Chuff brands and Steve Kelley a respected DJ who has toured in the UK and Internationally with the likes of God’s Kitchen, Cream and Gatecrasher, who have joined forces to create a 360 degree brand dance music experience.
Initially the brands development has come about as a result of releasing music. With a weekly release schedule from July 2010 the brand has accumulated considerable presence on all the major download sites and airplay on stations such as Ministry of Sound Radio and Proton Radio, as well reviews in iDJ Magazine. The label’s focus is the development of upcoming international producers. This approach has quickly given the brand an instant global recognition.
The on-going musical strategy is to utilise its international artists to assist and promote Celestial events in their territories so that the brands appeal will develop a wider audience, creating a market place for Celestial branded compilation albums. The first of these events will be taking place in 2011.
The events will encompass the glamour and attention to production detail from both a visual and aural perspective that has already been achieved with Miss Moneypennys and Chuff Chuff parties. But Celestial will add the extra dimension of spiritual emancipation so that the overall experience of the events will be out of this world experience.
The final part of the strategy is the development of a merchandise range that will capture the brands ideals of quality with a distinct ethereal feel.

Manual Music was started by Dutch DJ/producer Paul Hazendonk, initially as a sublabel of the infamous Basic Beat company just after the summer of 2005 . The label quickly gained international fame with it’s first release ‘Robotfood’ by Petter and has built a solid reputation ever since.

In 2009, Paul Hazendonk left the Basic Beat company after more then 8,5 years and adapted the Manual brand name for his own company, simply calling it Manual Music. Nowdays Manual Music is a company taking care of management, publishing, digital distribution and ofcourse releasing music on several (sub)labels in various genres within the electronic music scene. Every now and then Manual also hosts an area or a party at various locations, but Manual Music is not a party organisation.

Next to the main label Manual Music (electronica / progressive techno) there are also the Stolen Moments (techno), Melomane (techhouse), Adult Records (hardgroove techno), Groove Worxx (hardgroove techno) and Work Hard Play Hard (funky / melodic techno) labels. On top of that the Manual Music company also owns the catalogue for now defunkt labels Lo-FiSoul, Relatives, Technique and Fly Life Records.

After 6 years Manual Music is still going strong. With an ever increasing fanbase and expanding brand name, the future for Manual is looking bright!
