“reaching any top 10 chart doesn’t interest me nor is it the purpose of this label,
I feel there is a big shift at the moment with too much generic tech house being put out on the market,Too much music is sounding the same & there seems to be a distinct lack of Depth in music aimed at the Dance floor, i want to show with this label that underground music can still be for the dance floor, it doesnt have to be Generic.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform.

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2022 and beyond. To celebrate the occasion, the label will reissue some of its most classic tracks, host special anniversary events and release a new range of merchandise in collaboration with Australian brand One Teaspoon. Get Physical has already made a huge contribution to the history of contemporary house music, but rest assured the German label still has plenty more to say.

The sun of the night needs the energy of the heart more than ever. Again, Heideton dedicated to deep-roots, groove-driven electronic music with a timeless touch of pioneers and newbees. Its musical journey with artists such as Anja Schneider, Spencer Parker, Johannes Albert, Tiger Sripes, Ede & Deckert, Dukwa, and many more. Compilation was curated by Joe Metzenmacher. A symbol of the shadow that exists between the past and the future — a period of disorder when old truths are fading and new avenues are still unknown. From Leipzig to Munich, from Berlin to Hamburg, the nightlife in many German cities has changed dramatically in recent years. Clubs that used to be centers of freedom, diversity, and creative music are closing. The inflation, growing rents, and social limits have put tremendous pressure on the electronic music culture, which was previously renowned for its inventiveness and tenacity. No Moon, is a musical representation of this ambiguous time. This selection acts as a musical bridge connecting the beginning and end of a club night, symbolizing both the lack of a clear light and the potential to find something new in the shadows. Each track depicts the nights ecstasies, the search for connection, and the ongoing struggle between tradition and the future in a unique way.

Burgeoning producer Demi Riquisimo makes an instant impact with a debut vinyl only white label, on Semi Delicious. 'A Lifetime On The Hips' exquisitely blends a fierce array of analog House, Acid and Disco, for a tasty four tracker that is not to be bypassed!

Kicking it off with the wavy, undulating club number 'Sarong Song', Demi showcases his dance floor focussed style from the off as the track is textured crisp percussion and cosmic stabs, a certified club heater! Backing this up is EP title track, 'A Lifetime On The Hips', a punchy, retro synth fitted cut, filled with a sultry looped vocal. 

On the flip and picking up where the A-side left off, 'Vernon' builds the atmosphere with a rolling, acid tinged groove and Disco fuelled breakdown, before final cut 'Lost Quay' closes out the EP in a trippy, tribal infused fashion, and is one to fully lose yourself in!
