The year was 1997, and the great tree of electronic dance music continued to expand and split into various branches and their native tribes. Psychedelic trance was in full swing, with its staccato kick drums, high BPMs, and consciousness-expanding synth patterns. To some, it was more than a music style - it represented a way of life. Thus it was for Emok and Banel, two young Danish DJ/producers who fully leaned in and came together in Copenhagen to establish what would become one of the longest lasting and most universally respected labels in the psy-trance underground. Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Captain Hook, just some of the superstars of the scene that have been loyal mainstays on the label's release calendar over the years, but never detracting from the label's ethos of developing new artists through unity, collaboration, and steadfast support. In 2022, Emok and Banel still wake up every day thinking about their core values of connection, passion and ultimately a zest for life. And of course: heart-racing, foot-stomping, and mind-expanding beats!

Raison

Tamango Records is the imprint of Italian acclaimed DJ and producer Yaya. Born in Berlin in 2016, the label absorbed all the different flavours from that vibrant city in its spectrum, affirming as a leader in the house and minimal underground scene. Relocated in Lisbon a few years later, its sonorities include seductive funk-loaded low ends, rolling percussions, and delicious hypnotic licks while remaining loyal to an elegant but energetic dancefloor attitude.

The label comes from the special secret cocktail, Tamango, created and served exclusively by Yaya’s family in their Turin pub for over 40 years. While its recipe is unknown, it’s clear that Tamango Records’ ingredients include rolling, energetic percussions and groovy basslines, making each party a pure, joyful moment.

Over the years, Tamango Records has seen some of the biggest names in electronic panorama stepping up for a release. Among these are Loco Dice, Manda Moor, Cuartero, Toman, Sidney Charles, Fleur Shore, Prunk, Rossi, Mahony, and Late Replies, each staying true to the label’s no-boundaries sound without losing their unique touch. The label’s compelling desire to make people dance has given life to a series of showcases that have touched base all over the world, including New York, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Medellin, Panama, Milan, Berlin, and London, becoming synonymous with good times on the dancefloor.

Italian based imprint Moan Recordings, was born at the end of 2011 from the idea of two friends Clausen and Kaschant. Moan is focused on House and Tech House, with Funky, Minimal, and Techno influences. It's tasteful music made for maximum enjoyment on the dancefloor by some of the most interesting artists of the underground scene. Charted and played by the most respectful djs such as Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Matthias Tanzmann just to name few. All the projects brings different artists together to get a creative music style, a new musical concept, inspiration, emotions, feelings and high quality dance tunes, in one word : MOAN.

Moan

Over the last years, Carlo stepped up as a connoisseur of all things House - as a versatile DJ/producer, but also as man of affairs offside the studio and the DJ booth. Say hello to his new label venture, Aterral Records.

Aterral

Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
