Obscure Shape is the solo project of Stuttgart producer Luigi Urban. It first gained wider attention through his partnership with Marco Bläsius as SHDW & Obscure Shape, a duo formed around the From Another Mind parties in 2014. Their work paired mental, tightly engineered techno with an unmistakable concern for the dancefloor, while the label and event series helped connect Stuttgart to a broader European circuit. Urban has since carried Obscure Shape forward independently, widening the project’s frame without losing its rhythmic discipline. Whether the setting is fast and stark or more spacious, Obscure Shape’s identity rests on clean architecture, controlled pressure and an ear for the moment when repetition becomes momentum.
