Skif Tafari or his favourite tempo!
Over the years of his extensive experience as a DJ, he has continuously immersed himself into countless music scenarios and sound combinations which at some point resulted in willingness to come up with and bring to life his own ideas. This decision became fundamental in launching Taras Kohanovskyi’s project named Skif Tafari. Taras is not only a DJ but also a vinyl enthusiast with an impressive collection of top-notch music of various genres that has been formed for more than two decades. It varies from acid house, breakbeat, late 80’s / early 90’s jungle to contemporary sounding of deep house, microhouse, breaks, dub techno, minimal breakbeat, ragga dub, 2step and d’n’b.
During the soundcheck at one of the major music events, Taras once heard an old-school breakbeat piece which stirred his nostalgic feelings and brought him back to the basics. Dusting off his old records and a collection of music samples, he got down to writing new tracks as SKiF TAFARi. Owing to many years of experience and reconsidered look at his favourite rhythms, SKiF TAFARi’s tracks gained high-quality sounding which is highly recognizable and sometimes ironic.

Renowned for his impeccable music selection and innate ability to read the dancefloor, he has shared the spotlight with some of the most respected national and international artists in the industry. Peim Andy’s deep passion for house music naturally led him to music production, propelling his career onto the global stage. His tracks have been signed by renowned labels worldwide, including What NxT, Tzinah Records, La Zic, Kittball Records, Lapsus Music, 12 + 1 London, and Tied Chicago. His versatility extends to the vinyl format, with three standout releases on Defined Limited. With a consistent presence on major digital charts, Andy’s music continues to resonate with listeners around the globe. In 2020, his track “Don’t Want It” climbed to #6 on Beatport’s Minimal/Deep Tech chart, followed by “Stuart Bass,” which peaked at #28 in 2021. In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Over the last 5 years Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe by doing just that. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. This was recognized early on with labels like Romania’s Tzinah Records, Moscow’s Body Parts and Ukranian imprint Mulen Records offering him a platform through which to release and refine his musical style. In 2014 this culminated in the release of Silat's first full length album, with ten wondrously diverse minimalist cuts seeing a digital release on Mulen. Having achieved this milestone, the talented producer dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft with a renewed determination, going vinyl only and launching his own imprint Modeight Records in 2016.

Fast forward to the present and Silat Beksi has amassed an enviable body of 12” releases on his journey so far. Cementing himself as one of the most inform talents in Europes underground scene with releases on labels like Germany’s almighty Pleasure Zone, Welsh imprint Dreams Are Not Inside, What You Want, Vivus Records and of course his own imprint Modeight. His sound continues to morph and develop, defying classification with it's heady combination of techno’s rhythmic sensibility, breakbeat influence and warm atmospheric textures that hypnotise and excite.

Archie Hamilton has seen a remarkable rise through the ranks of the underground house and techno scene, becoming one of the most respected artists in his genre.

Working across many facets of electronic music, Archie was an early originator of a new European sound, with his own unique take on minimal house and techno: his signature sound of rugged basslines and ethereal atmospherics has established itself firmly in the minds of clubbers around the world.

Making his way among minimal enthusiasts around, Iasi-based artist IULY.B has literally been riding on top of the wave over the last few years. Known for crystal clear yet bold groove patterns, the young producer brings energetic and varied DJ sets, all loaded with a unique percussive spirit, making the dancefloor breathe deep and hypnotic minimal grooves.
As a producer, he has seen his tracks released on top-notch labels like FUSE, Visionquest, Metereze, RORA, and Subtil, among many, thus confirming his skills in the studio. That made him one of the most appreciated artists of the new Romanian wave, making his tunes some regular tools for many giants in the underground panorama and letting his records fly off the shelves as soon as they reach the stores.
Iulian's wise and always on point music selection also led him to play b2b with Romanian favourites Cosmjn, Sublee, and Vlad Caia to name a few, giving him the opportunity to prove his DJ abilities around Europe and South America.
