Having learned the piano at a young age and subsequently performed with bands and even an orchestra, his palette of music has a vast foundation influenced by the people and places he encounters. The sound artist's unique touch captures warm, celestial vibes filled with airy atmospheres together with delicate rhythms, telling melancholic stories fused with ghostly, low-slung cuts rich with nuance and subtlety.

Powel steadily explores this duality in sounds throughout his performances around the world, which include his annual sets on the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man and residencies with the All Day I Dream family alongside Lee Burridge. He is also a regular at Behrouz’s intimate Miami venue, Do Not Sit On The Furniture, and the New York institution Bespoke Musik.

It’s rare to hear an artist so intimately blur the line between uplifting pieces of music and raw, emotive records that exude the soul of deep house in its purest forms. Powel’s storytelling remains a special affair for the enthusiast.

M.E.M.O. is a versatile and talented artist from Malaga, Spain. In 2018, he was awarded Best Deep House Artist at the Hispano-American Vicious Music Awards. His style combines technical skill, musical taste, and a natural inclination for avant-garde sounds. He creates unique moments through his live acts and DJ sets, making every performance a special experience.

With a career spanning over 25 years, M.E.M.O. has performed at major festivals including Creamfields, Dreambeach, WeekendBeach, Sommeroya, and Brunch in the Park, as well as in countries such as Germany, England, Norway, the Netherlands, Georgia, Egypt, Russia, Croatia, the USA, South Korea, China, Mexico, Chile, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and Morocco.

His hit "Tai Tai", released on the Berlin label Mobilee Records, became a Deep House bestseller in 2018 and remained in Beatport’s top 3 for over three months. Other tracks like "Another Night", "Lo Unico", and "Maya" also reached top positions on Beatport, receiving support from artists such as Black Coffee, Solomun, Bedouin, Adam Port, John Digweed, Sasha, Pete Tong, Claptone, Joris Voorn, and Laurent Garnier.

In 2024, M.E.M.O. kicks off the year with a series of new releases, including the collaboration "Forgether", which reached #1 on Beatport’s Electronica chart.
