A leader in  global dance music, Louie Vega has painted an award-winning career from a palette mixed with everything from house, salsa and afro-beat, to jazz, hip hop, gospel and soul.

What distinguishes the Grammy winner and 7-time nominee as one of the best living house music deejays is his ability to evolve alongside the times, distill the current musical landscape through his unique taste and put his own timeless spin on his musical creations.

In NYC, Vegas' weekly residency night has inspired him to record an album for Nervous Records release coming early 2021 featuring his friends : Robyn, Honey Dijon, Bernard Fowler, Moodymann, Kerri Chandler, Anané, Lisa Fischer, Joe Claussell, Tony Momrelle, Karen Harding, & the super band Unlimited Touch.

After being exposed to House music of the 90's and early 2000's, Barcelona based Piem was destined to journey into the world of underground music. These early musical experiences helped to shape Piem into a firm favourite on the Barcelona club scene with a residency at W Barcelona and playing in venues like Pacha and Barcelona's biggest festival, Sonar.

Meanwhile, locking himself away in his studio honing his sound, Piem's dedication continues to pay off with releases on well revered labels: DFTD, Knee Deep in Sound, Relief, Crosstown Rebels, Sola and Moon Harbour. From 2009 on, Rampa made a name of himself through Keinemusik, his own little d.i.y.-cosmos, being not only label, but also crew of likeminded DJs, producers and friends. The teamwork within this realm has seen a serious number of productions and collaborations, particularly with fellow producer &ME, not to forget the rest of the bunch, Adam Port, Reznik and Monja.

Besides, he’s got an array of other collaborations and releases under his belt, put out on imprints like Circoloco, Innervisions, Diynamic, Afterlife, Cocoon, Ninja Tunes / Counter Records, Strictly Rhythm, Kompakt, 2020 Vision, Freerange, Bpitch Control, Defected or Crosstown Rebels.

The events of the last few years have seen Rampa focussing more and more on the production side of things, be it studio time or the inauguration of the TEILE project – his own company to produce and distribute analogue effects, custom built for DJ-purposes. Certainly also an outlet for a slight nerdism, that includes not only studio gear, but instruments in general. When it comes to DJing itself, he is going for a less is more approach these days, choosing bookings and playing more consciously.
