Jhonsson began his musical heritage nearly 20 years ago, and he’s been firing on all cylinders ever since. The Barnsley born tech-house connoisseur started his commitment to the cause in the 90’s, learning his trade through a formula of hard graft and an obligatory need to pursue his passion for dance music. It all started out through the building of a vinyl collection, and a vision that saw nothing getting in his way - 18 years later, this ambition remains the same.
With his reputation building emphatically, selling out the legendary Glasshouse in Leeds quickly became the norm. Playing mammoth back-to-back 12 hour sets with friend and house music veteran Hot Since 82, the word soon began to spread way beyond Yorkshire, as Jhonsson started to take on the White Isle with his slap-in-the-face unique house sounds.
Stimulated by his organic love of raunchy, bass-heavy house grooves, Jhonsson has caught the eyes and ears of the industry’s most respected labels: KMS, Thorne Room, Knee Deep in Sound and Madtech to name a few. Rightfully rewarded for his persistence, patience and sheer determination, releases on Resonance, Twisted Fusion, Go Deeva, Hippies, Suah and many more have already been given the go-ahead, not to mention his recent call up for a Knee Deep in Sound residency.
You can’t predict the future, but judging by Jhonsson’s past, this was no accident, it was always meant to happen…
