Hailing from Manchester, born in ’82 his taste and love for the scene came from a legendary time in house music for the North of England. Playing in Manchester’s bars and clubs since the late 90's he quickly gained recognition and had a former label residency in the city's legendary club Sankeys, at the same time playing some of the most renowned clubs and parties around the world, a few of his personal highlights over his 20+ years behind the booth include playing at Fabric, London, D-EDGE, São Paulo, Space, Ibiza, ADE, Amsterdam & OFF Week in Barcelona.


Fast-forward to 2014, SY left the UK for Berlin and for a decade brought his eclectic music style to the city's most popular dance floors. Gaining key label residencies at legendary clubs such as Tresor and the esteemed Watergate Club during his tenure, he has also graced the decks at some of the most highly respected clubs in the city including Club Der Visionaere, Hoppetosse & RSO. Last year brought a switch to Portugal and he now resides in the city of Lisbon with forthcoming dates confirmed at clubs including Plano B, 5A & Harbour.


Throughout his career as a DJ and producer he has released a number of records on respected labels amassing an ever growing discography along the way with his most recent releases appearing via revered imprints such as Physical Education, Slump Recordings, Semi Delicious & Rawax. SY is also the label head of E&X Records working alongside highly sought after talents such as Alex Neri, Harrison BDP, Maruwa, Clint and Nairless, with further releases scheduled already for 2025 and beyond.
