Bio
Vilas Monnappa’s electronic music grew out of Bangalore’s club circuit. Beginning at fifteen, he developed his DJing through residencies including Blue Bar at the Taj West End, Skyee and F-Bar, learning to connect studio ideas with the changing energy of a room. His work has also included the group Nocturnal Synth Nation and music created for Bangalore Fashion Week.
Now associated with Differed Records, Monnappa continues to produce across house and techno, with remixes providing another space for experimentation. That practice links his longstanding local involvement to a wider network of independent electronic labels.
