Bio

Detlef’s route to tech house was anything but linear. In a 2018 interview, the Greek producer recalled beginning with analogue-leaning Chicago house, moving through soulful and tribal styles, and only later sharpening his club sound after working with Steve Lawler and spending more time in the UK. That long apprenticeship fed records such as “SwagOn” and “Kinky Tail,” along with collaborations with Green Velvet that connected his punchy grooves to an older house vocabulary. He launched the ISSUES label in 2020 as an outlet for his own music and emerging producers. Whether working alone or with vocalists and fellow producers, he builds tracks around direct rhythms, clipped hooks and the kind of functional detail learned from years of testing music in clubs.
