Bio

MAYA is a rising name in Brazil’s electronic music scene, known for sets that balance depth, rhythm, and emotion. Born near the Amazon Basin and now based in Balneário Camboriú, home to iconic clubs like Green Valley and Warung, she crafts immersive, genre-blending performances designed to guide the energy of a room rather than chase it. Her musical style reflects a natural duality, sunlit and shadowed, organic and electric. With ease, she flows between warm deep house, tribal textures, deep tech, and progressive grooves. This fluidity isn’t strategy, it’s instinct, rooted in a love for contrast that gives her versatility and control behind the decks. In 2024, Maya debuted in Europe at World Club Dome alongside Jamie Jones and Hot Since 82, toured across Asia and the Middle East, and joined Ibiza Sonica Radio’s Supersonicos. Her release on Systematic Recordings reached the Beatport Top 8, and she’s played stages from Greenvalley’s 17th anniversary to private events for FENDI and Formula 1. She was named one of the Top 10 Future Talents by the Pete Tong Awards at IMS Ibiza, and received a special Talent Highlight Prize from Nicole Moudaber. With her recent signing to Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC, Maya’s global rise is just beginning.
