Over more than a decade, Tinlicker have consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music, crafting a sound that is both distinctive and personal. Their use of real instruments—strings, keys, horns—has long set them apart from traditional dance acts. Beyond instrumentation, their music evokes a wide range of emotions, from euphoria to melancholy, creating tracks that are both danceable and deeply storytelling.
After their 2021 breakthrough with the single Because You Move Me, Tinlicker made bold changes: they left their long-time label Anjunadeep for [PIAS] and expanded their performances from purely DJ sets to live/band formats. These carefully considered moves paved the way for their 2024 album Cold Enough For Snow, a masterclass in balancing innovation with quality.
Tinlicker continue to push artistic boundaries, following their passion rather than playing it safe. “We don’t like living safe,” one member once said. “When it comes to making music, there’s only one rule: we have to like it.”
