Alan de Laniere approaches electronic music through a mixture of soulful sounds and styles intended to connect different generations. His interest in production and DJing developed after arriving in Paris in 2000, and by 2007 he was shaping a musical identity around that combination. His work spans Afro house and electro swing: Heat Up credits him with composition, production, instruments and percussion, while his collaboration with Typoboy on Dimie Cat's Triple A puts piano and vocal groove into a four-to-the-floor remix. Releases including Kunta Kinté and The Things You Are continue his work as a producer.
