About Kyong Sono

Bio

Kyong Sono makes melodic house and techno from his studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg, placing live performance alongside his recorded work. Since turning his focus towards those genres around 2020, he has released through international labels and his own Betonstrand imprint. His live setup is designed to reshape tracks during a performance, leaving room for improvisation rather than reproducing a fixed arrangement. Appearances include Berlin’s Kater Blau, Fusion Festival and Thailand’s Wonderfruit, as well as shows in Mexico and Ibiza. The two-track Around release on Kotori brings together his own voice and a detuned Rhodes piano on the title track, while Stimmt takes a more synth-led approach.
