Starting in Naples in the early nineties with productions for legendary labels like
the Italian UMM, and for more than 20 years, Tuccillo has been an integral part of
the winding paths of electronic music.
He evolved step by step with new influences but firm in his way of producing and
in his support for vinyl and its classic sound.
Over the years, both analog and digital instruments have been incorporated into
his studio.
Driven by a timeless sense of sound and flawless production, as part of his sonic
imprint, he prefers to mix manually on an analog mixer and modulate sounds
directly from the hardware or create his beats using old akais samplers.
Starting from Ibiza, Tuccillo has taken his sound and sessions to the most
outstanding clubs in the world.
He began his first venture as a record label founder in 2013 launching Unblock
Records.
Together with close friends they embarked on creating their first vinyl. Since then,
collaborations and remixes from artists such as Djebali, Dj Sneak, Robert Dietz,
Tomoki Tamura, Shaun Reeves and Satoshi Tomiie have been added.
This same year together with Tomoki Tamura, they create an alias for a
collaboration entitled "Doublet" which will be the name that will launch the vinyl
series.
Currently Tuccillo has resumed his passion for the "Chill out balearic" sound. Since
his arrival in Ibiza in 2000, thanks to this genre, his productions have undergone
collaborations with legends such as José Padilla. Together with another pioneer
from Ibiza, Dj Pippi in 2016 they launched the label "Modern Manners"
In this project Tuccillo also adds more collaborations such as Modonostro with the
vocalist Danielle Moore of Crazy P. and Mr. Few. or
also under the aliases Tuccinelli and FewLab.
At the beginning of 2020 Tuccillo created ”Electrobalearic”, the simple idea of
mixing two genres such as electro and Balearic beat is clear.
In the summer of 2021 he launched his personal project “House of Tucci, where he
took up his favorite game, the pure and deep house sound of the 90s ,
which includes releases with collaborations and remixes by Archie Hamilton and
vocalist Kindbud.
“A year later, Tuccillo starts the 2022 with a remix for Nightmare on Wax of his song
Wonder" from the LP "To Freedom" released on Warp Records for a special Vinyl
Remixes relase with other artists such Osunlade and Paul Woolford.
Afterwards he began working on his first EP "sunshine City" for the legendary NYC
label “Nu Groove records”
and at the same time a collaboration with vocalist Howard Perry and TradeCraft for
the song "I believe"
which will be released together in a special vinyl edition.
In the summer he also released his first EP on Kerry Chandler's label "Kaoz Theory”-
The Waves Ep.

important part for lovers of the classic House sound.
In 2024 Tuccillo is once again punctual with the releases, returning with his labels
Unblock and House of Tucci,
and also in his latest EP for Nu Groove "Frames Ep"
which features a collaboration with the Chicago legend Ron Carrol
"Don't Walk Away “.
Through the years Tuccillo has proven to be a constant and consistent creator.
His passion for searching for new sounds is tireless and it is difficult to define him
with a single musical genre.

More than any other producer, Todd Terry defined New York house during the ’80s, a varied sampladelic smorgasbord blending the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound pioneered earlier in the decade, plus plenty of hip-hop attitude and sampling piracy. And with two of the most respected crossover remixes of the house era («I’ll House You» by the Jungle Brothers and «Missing» by Everything but the Girl), Terry more than earned his title «Todd the God» (or occasionally, simply «God»). Though he’s often been accused of recycling his own beats and effects (in his production work as well as the DJ booth) a bit too often for his own good, Terry’s immortality as a dance icon is assured.

Born in Brooklyn, Terry began DJing in the early ’80s while still a teenager, spinning hip-hop at school events and on the street with a team called the Scooby Doo Crew. He increasingly listened to Italian disco as well, and when the house sound of Chicago dropped in the mid-’80s, Terry the DJ made an official switch to house music. In league with fellow New York DJ/producer/remixers Little Louie Vega and Kenny «Dope» Gonzalez, Terry borrowed the Masters at Work guise — which Vega and Gonzalez would later popularize — for one of his first big productions, the 1987 single «Alright Alright»; the single became a milestone on New York’s early house scene. The Jungle Brothers, another crew of hip-hop heads who were beginning to stray into house, hooked up with Terry and the collaboration resulted in «I’ll House You,» one of the earliest and most high-profile fusions of hip-hop and house (popularized several years later by C+C Music Factory and Snap!).

The added prestige transferred back to his own name for two wildly popular 1988 singles, «Weekend» and «Bango (To the Batmobile),» both released as the Todd Terry Project. Perhaps preferring the adoration of the faithful, Terry later resorted to dozens of aliases for dozens of club hits — Black Riot’s «A Day in the Life,» Gypsymen’s «Hear the Music,» Royal House’s «Can You Party,» Todd Terry & the Countdown’s «Flipside,» Torcha’s «Feel It,» D.O.S.’s «House of Gypsies,» Sound Design’s «You Can Feel It,» Tech Nine’s «Slam Jam,» and Static’s «Dream It.» Despite his wealth of released material, Terry remixed dozens of artists as well, including Sting, Björk, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Malcolm McLaren, Annie Lennox, Robert Plant, and Technotronic, among others. The British house boom of the early ’90s provided Terry with many an overseas gig, including a high-profile residency at the London superclub Ministry of Sound. His proficiency on the decks became a minor sensation, causing several British journalists to describe him as «God.»

Terry moved into label entrepreneurship in 1992 when he formed Freeze Records with William Socolov. (Several of Terry’s early singles had appeared on Socolov’s Fresh/Sleeping Bag label, also the home of rap acts like EPMD, Mantronix, and Nice & Smooth). Freeze became the obvious home for many of Terry’s productions, including several volumes of his EP series Unreleased Projects beginning in 1992 and running through 1995.

That same year, Terry’s remix of the erstwhile pop act Everything but the Girl became a worldwide smash, selling over three million copies and almost single-handedly reviving the duo’s flagging career for a sleek new dancefloor incarnation. The British label Hard Times released the DJ gig A Night in the Life of Todd Terry: Live at Hard Times in 1995, while the flip side of the coin, A Day in the Life of Todd Terry (including his best single and remix productions) appeared the following year. His next project, Ready for a New Day, provided more song-oriented fare, though still implicitly dance, with guest vocalists including Martha Wash, Jocelyn Brown, and Bernard Fowler. Terry made another artistic change-up, to LP-oriented drum’n’bass, with his 1999 album Resolutions, recorded for indie/electronica stalwart Astralwerks.

His prolific output combined with his ability to experiment with a variety of styles and liberated approach, are essential components of his artistic nature. With years of experience already under his belt, Echonomist has gone through a leap in his development recently, with releases on Innervisions, Afterlife, TAU, and Kompakt, among others, establishing his production prowess. Working with such influential labels has not only boosted his profile but, more importantly, demonstrated that his musical ability has reached an impeccable standard, acknowledged by label heads like Dixon, Ame, Tale Of Us, Michael Mayer, and Adana Twins. Both on a solo tip and in collaborative projects Echonomist’s talent shines through and he’s primed for continued success at the very highest level...

A legendary figure in electronic music, Chez Damier has played close witness to many of the pivotal moments in the history of house and techno. Jointly responsible with partner Ron Trent for both Prescription Records - widely recognised as one of the greatest labels of all time - and The Morning Factory - one of the most ethereal jams ever to rock a room - Chez Damier carries abound the soul of house music.

KMS, The Music Institute, The Bellville three: the Chicago DJ has played pivotal roles in the development of all three hallowed pieces of musical history. However his natural artistry and constant need to out do even himself has led to him passing off such seminal tunes as Can You Feel It as just a stage in his artistic development. For as an artist Chez Damier represents a unique blend; he is as impetuous and daring as now as in 1989 and being able to qualify this with his own unique heritage makes his releases and DJ performances doubly formidable.

When The Music Institute opened in Detroit in the late '80s it provided the home for a developing music scene. It proved just as important for the development of techno in the city as The Warehouse and The Music Box had been for house music in Chicago and the hedonistic experiences in that club have gone onto shape much of Damier's life ever since.

After a few years managing the KMS studio and label for Kevin Saunderson, he returned to his hometown of Chicago and, alongside Ron Trent, created the musical legacy that has guaranteed his legend. Immortal cuts like "Sometimes I Feel Like," "The Choice" and "Be My"-remain unparalleled examples of the genre. After taking an extended break from the music industry either side of the turn of the millennium, the house music impulse returned to Damier. A handful of releases in 2004 and the odd DJ date hinted that a return was on the cards.

In 2009, the last year of the decade Damier found a trusted outlet for his talents. A series of releases for the German label Mojuba signalled that he was on his way back to show the young pretenders the way. Taking up the torch of Prescription, Damier launched Balance Alliance as a home for some of the most forward thinking and talented producers he deems fit to join him on the imprint. With momentum building behind him, Chez Damier will be exploring fresh artistic avenues in the new decade and looking to consolidate his legendary status as a DJ.
