Bio

WLAD brings a background in percussion, breakdancing and hip-hop DJing into house and minimal. Growing up in a Parisian family that listened to jazz, disco and flamenco, he began collecting vinyl as a teenager before developing an international DJ career. A two-year backpacking trip preceded his return to Paris and the launch of hedZup with Mancini. The label and parties grew alongside his own production work, with collaboration becoming a particularly important format. Call Lab LP paired him with a different producer on each of its ten tracks, while Kiss LP continued the idea with partners including De La Swing, iO (Mulen) and DJ Steaw. Those records give the musical exchanges behind hedZup a direct expression in the studio.
