About Ismael Rivas

Bio

Ismael Rivas spent eleven years as a resident at Space of Sound in Madrid, by his own count in a 2015 interview with Fiesta y Bullshit. What he valued there, he told the site, was being able to play the progressive house he actually liked, and being able to bring visiting underground DJs into the room. The same conversation traced his start much further back: nine years as a footballer at Real Madrid, ended at twenty by an injury, and then a job in 1992 playing records at Archy, a club in fashion in the capital at the time. He has worked since across house, techno and minimal, as a DJ and as a producer.
