A truly prolific artist, Mark Broom has a myriad of production credits to his name having worked with world renowned labels such as Blueprint Records, Rekids, M-plant, EPM, Cocoon, Bpitch Control, Warp Records and the legendary Ifach with Baby Ford.

It all started in the summer of ‘89 when he landed in Tenerife on vacation and stumbled across the delights of the emerging sounds of Chicago and Acid House. Returning to the UK, he immediately went in search of this new found music, a pair of turntables were bought and with it a musical career was born. He has also had the pleasure of reworking material from artists such as Robert Hood, Floorplan, Alan Fitzpatrick and Gary Beck.

The Advent

Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that as in the late 80’s. In 2014 he celebrated 25 years of Marco Bailey, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer.

He grew up in Belgium, and it all started out when he went to a small local club in his nearby city. At this point, he knew little and didn't have any musical heroes, but soon released that he would rather be behind the decks than on the dance floor.

His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox’s Intec imprint with “Play It Back”. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002 with “Caprioska”. The releases came flowing over the next few years, which saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Rube Boy” album back in 2004, soon followed by “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock in 2011.

His most recent album was with 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013 on MB Elektronics, dubbed by some techno aficionados as a masterpiece. It was at this time, he also released an up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey”.

His Electronic Force radio show has been a huge success from the get-go, with almost 300 episodes to date, he has had every artist on board from Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Carlo Lio. It’s heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries.

Marco has been touring relentlessly throughout his career, he’s an artist who can say he has probably played at almost every club in the world, and been listed at the top of major festivals. He hasn't stopped, and this summer was no exception his MATERIA brand taking a new home at Vista Club, Ibiza. Every Sunday, he offered artists including Sam Paganini, Carlo Lio, Julian Jewell, and Paul Ritch for the closing on the 28th August all came out to party with Marco and the crowd.

You can expect to see the MATERIA brand reach far and wide this year, with parties in London, Vienna, Amsterdam and Tokyo planned this winter. Mid October will see the release of the MATERIA compilation mix, a collection of tracks selected personally by Marco, of both his own releases and all the artists which played at MATERIA in Ibiza this summer.

2017 continues to be another landmark year for Marco, with his first MATERIA residency considered a huge success, the brand looks to move worldwide, becoming a high-profile label and radio show as well and continuing to grow. He is a true pioneer of Techno, and has no plans to put on the brakes anytime soon.

Rene Wise’s approach to writing music and DJing fuses together as one concept; where high attention to detail blends with a strong vision for storytelling through sound.

Wise portrays a deep sense of knowledge and maturity, devising atmospheric soundscapes with a raw but modern touch, captivating the listener from beginning to end. His sets demonstrate this to full effect, consistently maintaining a powerful sonic trademark via a low end focused, yet intricate and enchanting selection. Indeed, the capacity to dip in between deeper realms of sound and rhythmic exploration aids the artists preference towards longer sets.

Before discovering the world of electronic music, Wise came from a background of drum and percussion which was guided by his Iranian father, a former professional drummer. This influence plays a key part in shaping the foundation of techno that he crafts. Subsequently, exposure to Europe’s dancefloors further triggered his passion, allowing him to understand the importance of the interaction between the physicality of sound on the human body. Fast-forward to 2024, this notion gave birth to his label ‘Moving Pressure’. Conceptually, as the title already hints at, the imprint focuses on the capacity of sound to guide movement and emotion, to weave into the fabric of our physical being.   Concretely, the first release features a 4 tracker by Wise himself and will proceed by showcasing his sonic vision through self and external releases.

Isaiah Major, better known as DJ Rush, is an icon of the Chicago house and techno scene. Known for his explosive live sets and rhythmic command, Rush parlayed his stateside accomplishments in the 1980s and '90s into a successful career in Europe in the 2000s, where he has remained a club and festival mainstay for over two decades.

Chlär holds this perpetual need to learn and improve, convinced of the fundamental relationships humans share with the groove. His productions and performances are attempts to awaken the tribal and primitive instinct that sleeps in each of us. His sets are direct crowd-galvanizers with technical and forward-thinking blends of grooves featuring loops of his own production.

Always improvising through relentless 3-4 decks actions, his context sensitive approach to performances is fuelled by an highly effective audience reading which will guarantee an electrifying moment, no matter the set time and duration.

He is also a former mastering engineer working with renowned labels such as Taapion, RAW or Ritmo Fatale and co-runs Bipolar Disorder Rec. Chlär is sharpening his musical senses and abilities on many sides of the industry, by being an artist and engineer but also working in A&R and Event Management, which recently led him to be the ‘’Raver’s Choice’’ from the Raving Spoon awards.
