Deborah De Luca makes techno that brings strong rhythmic impact together with melody and the immediacy of song. From an early working life in nightclubs, she developed a career as a DJ, producer and independent label head, with Naples remaining her home. After returning to the city, she worked with producer Giuseppe Cennamo and established Sola_mente in 2013. The label gave her the freedom to release music on her own terms, without waiting for another company's decisions or schedule. Her albums include Ten and She Sleeps.
That independence accompanies an international touring career, with appearances at Amnesia in Ibiza and widely seen performances recorded at Château de Chambord for Cercle and Le Vele in Scampia. The latter brought her music back to the neighbourhood where she spent her early childhood. In the studio, De Luca starts from an idea already taking shape in her mind—a sound, melody or remembered soundtrack—rather than forcing a track from nothing. Her attachment to melody also informs her DJing: she values the moment when a recognisable musical phrase changes the room's mood, giving the audience something beyond the drums to connect with.
