Bio
Long before Luca Donzelli was playing Ibiza, he was making homemade school compilations called Donzellation. The Tuscan producer has recalled growing up between his father’s new-age records, his mother’s 1970s disco and family Christmases soundtracked by Bob Marley; later, BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix opened a route from grunge and hard rock into techno. Early residencies in Tuscany gave him space to develop his own productions, and “Bottle of Truth” helped bring his work to Mar-T and Wow! Recordings. Donzelli began managing the label in 2014, dividing his time between Barcelona and Ibiza while building club residencies and a wider release catalogue. His records have since appeared through Hot Creations, Saved, Moon Harbour, 8bit, elrow and TBX, with later projects appearing on hedZup and Diversity Music. The breadth makes sense: his musical foundation was eclectic well before it became electronic.
