Hailing from the greater Frankfurt Area Sascha Dive has made quite an impression on the international house and techno circus over the last ten years. Although the deephouse traveller looks back on an amazing amount of pristine releases, with the first official vinyl pressed back in 2007, one can still call him a young gun. If you look around in the deeper fields of house music these days this gifted producer and DJ seems to be an exception. This isn't a disadvantage at all because with all the energy in his mind and hands Sascha Dive proves with every gig and production that he plays on the same level as many of his legends, if not even higher!

 

Strongly influenced by the godfathers of deephouse like Moodyman, Chez Damier or Ron Trent and following the first waves of top notch German house labels, such as Playhouse, Sascha Dive has progressed to a serious floor fighter since his first official appearance in 2007. With a musical taste reaching from his deephouse backround and soulful minimal sounds to kicking and mind blowing techno he has played almost every leading club and festival over the past ten years.

 

Sascha Dive is not only taking his sound and vision to the world's finest floors, he still manages to release more and more music. Dive has released a vast number of productions and remixes on high class labels such as Tsuba, Freebase, Deep Labs (Balance US), Raum...Musik or Stir15 and aside from all the touring and producing he still runs his own "Deep Vibes" label with great success. "Deep Vibes" has produced some outstanding music by Sascha Dive and his buddies and „house-mates“ such as Brothers Vibe, Robert Dietz, Christian Burkhardt or Markus Fix (just to name a few) and most of it on vinyl! So it's no wonder that vinyl master Sven Väth signed Sascha to Cocoon Artists and Cocoon Recordings.

Okain is part of a wave of artists that began spinning records and producing music two decades ago in Paris shaping the bubbling French electronic music scene we know today.

After spending his early years playing in clubs around Paris, his first releases came out in 2007 and launched his international career. Since then, he has played at key venues around the world and visited all 5 continents, including Fabric London, Awakenings Amsterdam, Fuse London, Tresor Berlin, Panorama Bar Berlin, Space Ibiza, and SASH Sidney, to name a few. His busy touring schedule hasn't stopped him from continuously releasing music on celebrated underground imprints such as Constant Sound, Infuse, Locus, Pleasure Zone, Tsuba, Bpitch Control, PIV, and, of course, his own label.

After relocating to Berlin in 2012, he established his musical imprint, Talman Records. There, he can freely release his music and provide a new platform for like-minded artists such as Silverlining, Kolter, Harrison BDP, and Chris Stussy, to name a few.

With a discography boasting over 40 records on underground favorites, Okain has solidified his position as a key player in shaping the contemporary electronic music landscape.

Chris Carrier is one of those rare kinds of artists that have an omnipresent quality and yet do not seek to make their name bigger than the music itself. You may not know it but there is a 99% chance you have experienced some dancefloor-based elation at the hands of the Parisian maestro. Releasing his first EP in 1994, he has over 20 years under his belt as a producer and DJ, with a huge back catalogue of releases. With all of that in his locker, Carrier remains ardent in his quest to create more and more classic material and is revered as one of the most prolific and gifted producers around today.

Greek mastermind Echonomist represents the true definition of ‘artist’. His prolific output combined with his ability to experiment with a variety of styles and liberated approach, are essential components of his artistic nature. With years of experience already under his belt, Echonomist has gone through a leap in his development recently, with releases on Innervisions, Afterlife, TAU, and Kompakt, among others, establishing his production prowess. Working with such influential labels has not only boosted his profile but, more importantly, demonstrated that his musical ability has reached an impeccable standard, acknowledged by label heads like Dixon, Ame, Tale Of Us, Michael Mayer, and Adana Twins. Both on a solo tip and in collaborative projects Echonomist’s talent shines through and he’s primed for continued success at the very highest level...

John Dimas found his way into DJing through clubbing. Inspired by the Chicago, Acid House, UK Garage, and Breakbeat he was hearing in Thessaloniki, Greece where he grew up after moving from Albania in the early 90’s. He bought his first records and taught himself to mix using two belt-driven decks and a homemade mixer that formed part of a high school project. He played his first gig two years later, in 2001, in a tiny bar where he remained as a resident for over four years before moving to Decadance, a larger venue that regularly booked artists from abroad.

Dimas was quickly snapped up by a major Greek booking agency and also Red Bull, who signed him a resident DJ for their nationwide party series. Dimas’ international bookings picked up quickly. Having carved himself a reputation with some lower-profile support slots across Europe, he’s now established himself as a highly respected DJ , acknowledged for the diversity in his selections and deep knowledge of music; scattered within all Dimas sets are various obscure cuts that even the most avid music fans are yet to discover. “I like peaks and troughs, and giving lots of different dynamics to keep things interesting,” he says. “I don’t like to be predictable with the records I play and love surprising the crowd.” Recent years have seen him perform at London’s Fabric, Ibiza’s DC10 and Amnesia, New York’s Resolute, Paris’ Rex, Bucharest’s Guesthouse, and all across Berlin, including Club der Visionaere and Watergate. It was a 2011 booking at this latter venue that inspired a 2012 move to the German capital.

Important, too, is Dimas’ production work. He began experimenting with production in 2007 and incorporates lots of edits into his sets. His 2018 XLR8R podcast consists only of these. On a release front, he’s maintained a steady output since his 2010 debut, pushing a futuristic fusion of techno & house sound that is clever, energetic and infectious.

Elsewhere, Dimas also heads up Elephant Moon, a record label through which he aims to search out and support new talent. The label does not accept demos; rather, Dimas himself hunts for artists, “so there is always a high quality maintained,” he says. The label celebrated its 11th release with Dimas’ album debut, One Against Time. “I had to the opportunity to express myself completely and draw from all my influences over the years,” he says.

In 2020 Dimas launched a second imprint SYNQ as well as Intermission Records with Voigtmann to release their debut album for their new collaborative project VO1GT.M4S. 2020 also saw the revival of his other alias Secret Universe, with a release on Gottwood Festival’s Nottwaxx Compilation and 2021 shows no signs of Dimas slowing down either with a full touring schedule for the latter part of the year, a release on Francesco Del Garda’s Timeless imprint, a second release on his label SYNQ as well as three remix projects out before the year’s end. In an aesthetic that’s long been overly saturated, Dimas has found a voice all of his own.
