Franksen goes back a long way in the history of Frankfurt’s electronic scene. Hosting Germany’s eldest radio DJ Show, today’s YOU FM Clubnight (formerly simply known as THE CLUBNIGHT), he represents electronic culture 360° since more than ten years. As a DJ, producer and music journalist he has sharpened his wonderfully versatile skills and his unique approach on an endless groove journey for 15 years.Franksen appeared on deep and techhouse labels from Suara or Dieb.Audio to WePlayMinimal, InCase Recordings, Salted Music and many more. Since 2009 he has released a string of fine tracks and the „Full House“ Album (Plastic City) with collabo partners (Tom Wax, D. Diggler).2012 is his time to go solo, putting even more emphasis on his his broad musical influences ranging from soul and funk to classic house, funky breaks and global textures which clearly round up his sound style. Between his work as co-owner of Parisian label D.KO Records, playing bass
with Secret Value Orchestra, his more recent psych-rock project Aboukir, and
his own solo electronic productions as Flabaire, Ralph Maruani has carved
his own cosmic melodic universe. Now at the age of 31, three albums already
released and a number of EPs, appearances and remixes, Flabaire appeared
already throughout France, and across borders (Tresor, Hoppetosse,
Pratersauna, ...).
His music has been recognised by legendary artists such as Move D or Point
G/DJ Gregory as well as many others of his most accomplished peers. His
latest EPs released on D’Julz imprint Bass Culture, and on HOUSEWAX
(RAWAX) got played and acclaimed by the likes of Steffi, Ben Sims, Chaos In
The CBD, Ryan Elliott or Cinthie, just to name a few.
Flabaire just released his last EP on My King Is Light the label of minimal
luminary Thomas Melchior (Soul Capsule) that already got attention from
Raresh, Axel Boman, Titonton Duvante, Mountain People, ...
