Bio

Eagles & Butterflies is Chris Barratt’s outlet for dance music with a strong sense of melody and song. His work moves between house, techno and downtempo, often using synthesizers and drum machines to bring pop immediacy into club-focused arrangements. Production is his central passion, and his remixes for RY X, Underworld, Bob Moses and Ludovico Einaudi have given that interest different musical settings. Barratt has released through Innervisions, Life and Death, Running Back and Permanent Vacation, alongside his own Art Imitating Life imprint. “Can’t Stop,” made with Coloray, is a key example of his vocal-led approach. His DJ career includes an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 and appearances at Coachella, Awakenings and Circoloco, taking that wide-ranging studio identity onto international dance floors.
