Bio

Paolo Martini’s club vocabulary was formed by disco before it was reshaped by decades of house and techno. He has recalled falling for Salsoul, Cerrone, Giorgio Moroder and Chic at fourteen, then beginning a professional DJ career in the Venice area during the 1980s. From 1999 to 2004 he worked with Gianni Bini as Bini & Martini, a partnership known for house records and remixes with strong UK reach. A later demo submission brought producer Paul C into Martini’s orbit; after several years of label contact, they formally joined forces in 2009. Martini describes their balance plainly: his own disco-and-house background meets Paul C’s more techno-oriented instincts. That mixture explains why the pair’s records can move between different kinds of sets without losing their swing.
