Born in Cali, Colombia, but now living in Medellín, Colombia, Juan Pablo Torrez fell in love of electronic music at a very short age with progressive trance music, but it was not until his 18 years old that he took his love for this music to the decks. Afterwards, highly influenced by artists like Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Sasha and by progressive, trance and techno sounds of that time, Juan Pablo Torrez made his style very versatile which allowed him to surf between genres and that he maintains until today. This has allowed him to perform in countries like Greece, Hungary, Spain, Argentina, USA and more; hold plenty of club residencies as well as performed in major and massive events such as Summerland Festival Main Stage (2013 and 2015 editions, Cartagena, Colombia), DayDreaming Festival 2018 (Budapest, Hungary) and Bloque Festival 2018 (Kavala, Greece).

Over the years, he has shared the spotlight with many of dance music’s greatest artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Jeremy Olander, Danny Howells, Dave Seaman, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Funkagenda, Cid Inc, Darin Epsilon, Anthony Pappa, Dmitry Molosh, and countless others.

To date, Juan Pablo Torrez has released music on Parquet Recordings, Perspectives Digital, Beatfreak Recordings, Particles, Clubsonica Records, FSOE UV, onedotsixtwo, among others. His productions have entered Beatport’s Top 100 charts several times and has being supported, charted and played by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Paul Van Dyk, Nick Warren, Darin Epsilon, Paul Thomas, Anthony Pappa, Wally Lopez, Gai Barone, Solid Stone, Mariano Mellino, among many others.

On their menu you can find different types of original and new music recipes, created in Deep House, Progressive House and Melodic Techno styles. Music salads by Supacooks are unusual because of their components, you will not find them in any supermarket or refrigerator. Tracks born in the creative process, but enthusiasm and inspiration does not always come from the kitchen, they catch it everywhere. However proportions of salt and pepper followed perfectly.
