About Emma Hewitt

Bio

Emma Hewitt is a singer and songwriter whose work in vocal trance grew from acoustic performances and a background in alternative rock. Raised in Geelong, Australia, she formed Missing Hours with her brother Anthony before her collaborations with electronic producers took her to international club and festival stages. Songs such as Waiting with Dash Berlin and Not Enough Time with Cosmic Gate made her voice familiar to trance audiences, while Burn The Sky Down gave her songwriting a solo album setting. The band background remains part of her working method: Anthony has continued to write with her, and former Missing Hours guitarist Tim Henwood has also contributed to her recording work. She cites Tori Amos, Kate Bush and Garbage among her early influences, particularly their ability to make lyrics and melody convey a feeling together. Her collaborative projects also include Elysian, the trio she formed with Ilan Bluestone and Maor Levi.
