Behind the Scoom Legacy project we find Josep Corominas, an experienced producer whose work is divided across all possible fields of communication: as a craftsman in the recording studio, as a master remixer, in front of a crowd, and also in the academic world. A professional DJ since 1998, Corominas began producing his own music in the year 2000. His influences are painted by an assorted palette of sounds — from avant-garde techno to the deepest house, and a wide assortment of broken beats taken from jazz, the English breakbeat scene and UK Garage. He quickly began to share his talent with vocalists, collaborators and audiovisual directors. His work has been released on labels such as Knee Deep in Sound, Solar Distance, Natura Sonoris, SINCOPAT and Wow! Recordings, among many others. His portfolio boasts soundtracks, club pieces and explorations of the fringe where dance music and ambient meet.
His music had the support from great artists such as Shur-I-Kan, Henry Saiz, Uner, Laurent Garnier, Dosem, Gullen, Affkt, Animal Picnic,Yamil, M.E.M.O.,Scott Diaz,David Granha, People Get Real,Julio Navas, Enai, Thimble, Clemente, Martin Herrs, Intermezzo among others.
