Bio

Everything Ion Ludwig plays live is his own work: finished tracks and stems loaded on a laptop, recombined onstage from an archive that reaches past the newest material into years of older recordings. The Dutch producer had his first record put out by Butane on Alphahouse, at a point when the two were sharing a flat in Berlin. He later set up his own imprint, Quagmire Ltd, and issued the album Free K. Loudwiggle through it in 2010, made in Berlin and mixed down at the Circle of Dorth once he had moved back to the Netherlands; the run stopped at 200 copies, the artwork hand-made and every record stamped by hand. His music has also appeared on Resopal, Perlon and Tenth Circle.
