AN:TI grew out of experiments with synthesizers and records in Murmansk, developing into an electronic project in 2005. Its early history centres on Alexander and Jaroslav, whose shared interest in club music led them from school-age experimentation towards production. Minimal techno and deep house have remained important parts of its musical vocabulary, with releases ranging from the earlier Under Comfort to La Lap Lake and Rain in Osaka.
Alongside their own music, the musicians established Dihanie and Nomer, creating space for a broader circle of electronic releases. That connection between making tracks and maintaining an independent outlet has remained part of AN:TI’s identity, with Dihanie continuing to carry the project’s work.
