Bio
Alexandros Zyvragoudakis, known professionally as Starwalk, is a seasoned DJ, music producer, and sound engineer hailing from Crete, Greece. His extensive career spans over three decades, marked by significant contributions to the electronic music scene and the broader music industry.
Early Career and Musical Exploration
Starwalk embarked on his musical journey in the early 1990s, performing as a DJ across various bars and clubs in Crete. His passion for diverse musical genres led him to roles as a radio producer, where he showcased a wide array of styles, including Acid Jazz, Indie Rock, Trip Hop, and Dance Music, with a particular emphasis on Soul, Funk, and Jazz from the '70s and '80s.
In 1996, he founded the group Eclipsis, organizing dance events throughout Crete until 2001. His deepening involvement in the music industry was furthered by a five-year tenure at local record stores in the late '90s, where he gained valuable insights into the industry's dynamics.
Advancement into Music Production and Sound Engineering
The early 2000s marked Starwalk's transition into music production. He established a home studio, which evolved into the professional enterprise Digital Wave Studio in 2006. This venture expanded his expertise into sound system provision and event organization.
Between 2012 and 2014, Starwalk broadened his horizons by performing in renowned bars across Vienna, Austria, enriching his international experience.
Educational Endeavors and Record Label Establishment
In 2019, he began imparting his knowledge as a music technology professor at a private university. The following year, he launched the independent record label 24 Bit, focusing on electronic music. His track "Human Love (Chill Mix)" was notably featured in the Buddha Bar XXIII compilation mixed by Ravin in 2020 and in Emporio Armani's 40th-anniversary mix "The Way We Are" in 2021.
