Bio
Adam Pits makes club music with a musician's attention to harmony and a DJ's instinct for motion. His training in classical cello fed into an electronic vocabulary that moves among progressive house, trance, techno and breakbeat, rather than remaining tied to one tempo or rhythmic pattern. In interviews he has connected his melodic sensibility to the Romantic and Impressionist music he studied, while also pointing to years spent exploring late-1990s and early-2000s progressive records.
The London-based producer developed strong ties to Leeds through On Rotation, alongside releases for Holding Hands, Coastal Haze, HAWS and Planet Euphorique. His own murmurs label provides another space for that work. Whether producing or DJing, he favours continuity: a mix that develops gradually, with the joins between records becoming part of its musical logic rather than an interruption.
