Always sitting slightly off-centre, Jay Tripwire is an artist that walks the line as industry staple and ever changing innovator,

releasing one standout release after another.

His signature fusion of deep Detroit textures and intricate rhythms has led a career spanning two decades,

with over 200 vinyl releases, 2 commercial mixed cd compilations, and four full length albums.

He remains one of the most prolific artists around, with an average of 15 releases per year.

He is an always an in demand remixer he averages 10-15 remixes per year.

In 2010 Jay Was honoured by being named by Future Music alongside Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard, Charles Webster,

Atjazz, and Tom Middleton as being one of the most influentual Innovators in house music for “The thoughtful minimal stylings of Jay Tripwire.”

Most recently he’s completed a compilation mix for Steve Bug’s respected label Pokerflat –

‘Shaping Elements Vol.8’ which features a blend of deep house ranging from

Detroit inspired textures to modern European house and tech house fusions,

blurring genrefication. This follows releases on the label under his 8Channels name - a project that melds basic channel,

cosmic soul and dub into a new hybrid soundscape of techno, deep house and dub.

The moniker also appears on other highly regarded labels such as Ransom Note, Conya, NRK, Cinematic and Hallucination.

Whilst the term ‘legendary’ is often bandied about with little thought,

in Jay’s case we could say just that - his personal arsenal of re-edits and comfort in arranging extended DJ sets lasting eight hours or

more certainly demonstrates a talent that deviates from standard fare.

Jay also still supports,buys and plays vinyl, and actively seeks out records to play at gigs, when Tripwire is on the decks he plays a vinyl

and CD set.

Jay has made appearances in over 200 cities worldwide, and some of his most memorable gigs have been a decade of bookings at

Fabric London- a venue that has changed his approach to Djing, and production sound.

Jay’s work has been featured on numerous compilations, notably from Cocoon, Fabric, Renaissance, Journeys by DJ, Ultra & Bedrock,

and is supported by a diverse spectrum of dance culture from house luminaries

such as, Doc Martin and Kerri Chandler to techno legends Steve Bug and Laurent Garnier and John Digweed

With anticipated releases and remixes imminent, the Tripwire production wheel is still very much in motion,

and on its way to a turntable near you.

Bio:  With a love of music from an early age, Col Lawton grew up in South Shields listening to artists such as The Jam, Stone Roses, Blur and Oasis. Using his pocket money to buy vinyl’s and tapes, Col was drawn to house music in the early 2000s when his ear for music changed.

Inspired by the emotions, rhythms and the feelings of house music, Col was first influenced by friends at house parties. One of his first inspirations was Stu Welford who showed him what to do and how to become a great DJ. His musical inspirations developed in the early 2000s when he discovered Naked Music with Col crediting Miguel Migs as an artist who first inspired him through his sounds and mixing. Another early musical inspiration was Mark Farina whose melodies and smooth mixing became a source of inspiration for Col.

As well as strong musical influences, Col is inspired daily by his family including his wife and son who make him work hard to achieve his dreams. Col also credits his good friendships, including Robbie Robinson, for believing in him and pushing him to achieve what they know he can.

Col was drawn to house music due to the feelings and emotions it evoked in him all those years ago. Today he still believes the feelings that house music generates acts as a trigger for him. His first live mix was in a bar in Newcastle and remembering how it felt to get that first mix right is something that has never left him.

Col loves to create music whether it is producing and looking for a particular sound that evokes those strong emotions or whether it is just creating music that brings new people into his life who love the same music as he does. His current musical inspirations include Scott Diaz, Sebb Junior, Manuel Costela, Muguel Migs and The Journey Men.

As a producer, Col is currently in the studio producing his sound, working with his team and spreading his wings by working in more clubs and at more events to show off what he can to do those who enjoy his deep/funky/jazzy style.

As his career grows and develops, Col hopes to create music that people will love and remember, either because they first heard it dancing in Ibiza with friends or because it is something they fell in love to having their first kiss. Music that matters is his blue print so his achievements will be measured on if he made good quality music that house music lovers love. Col also hopes to be able to travel the world perusing his dream and enjoy house music for the purpose it was made for – the feeling.

Discosteps is a DJ and producer from Rouen, in France. He has been a resident DJ in many bars and clubs in his city for several years.

Since 2020, he has released many tracks on prestigious labels like Glasgow Underground, Large Music, Salted Music and more...

His tracks are regulary in the best sellers of the different digital platforms in House and Deep House.

He obtained the support and was played by DJs such as Claptone, Jamie Jones, Sam Divine, Ferreck Dawn, Roger Sanchez, Mark Farina and many more...

At the end of 2023 he launched his own label, it called "Out Of The Box Records". You can find his imprint on this label, with tracks mixing Soul and Disco.

He also has a radio show, once a month, on Data Transmission where you can listen to his podcast called "Out Of The Box".
