In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Over the last 5 years Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe by doing just that. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. This was recognized early on with labels like Romania’s Tzinah Records, Moscow’s Body Parts and Ukranian imprint Mulen Records offering him a platform through which to release and refine his musical style. In 2014 this culminated in the release of Silat's first full length album, with ten wondrously diverse minimalist cuts seeing a digital release on Mulen. Having achieved this milestone, the talented producer dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft with a renewed determination, going vinyl only and launching his own imprint Modeight Records in 2016.

Fast forward to the present and Silat Beksi has amassed an enviable body of 12” releases on his journey so far. Cementing himself as one of the most inform talents in Europes underground scene with releases on labels like Germany’s almighty Pleasure Zone, Welsh imprint Dreams Are Not Inside, What You Want, Vivus Records and of course his own imprint Modeight. His sound continues to morph and develop, defying classification with it's heady combination of techno’s rhythmic sensibility, breakbeat influence and warm atmospheric textures that hypnotise and excite.

Every artist leaves a mark, and Mihai Popoviciu’s is unmistakable. For almost two decades, the Romanian producer and DJ has crafted a signature style—deep, hypnotic grooves, pinpoint precision, and an energy that commands the dancefloor.
Growing up in Sibiu (Romania), a city far removed from Europe’s electronic epicenters, Mihai’s passion for house and techno was born in isolation. The ‘90s saw London, Berlin, and Ibiza booming with dance music, while he was left scavenging for whatever sounds he could find. “We’d record German TV shows onto cassette and play them on repeat,” he recalls.

With no club scene in sight, Mihai’s DJ dreams seemed like a long shot. “I couldn’t DJ because there were no clubs,” he laughs. But software was within reach, so he made music. Refining his sound track after track, in 2005, his music found a home on International Deejay Gigolo. From there, he became a fixture on labels like Highgrade, Poker Flat, Bondage Music, Berg Audio, and his own imprint, Cyclic, founded in 2012.

Patience and persistence paid off. Once purely a producer, Mihai soon stepped behind the decks, learning the art of DJing on borrowed turntables. His transition from the studio to the club was seamless. Soon, the world took notice. Over the past decade, Mihai Popoviciu has solidified his status as a leading figure in the electronic music scene. Now, his name graces the lineups of the most revered clubs and festivals worldwide.

Mihai’s mission is simple: to share the joy and energy that fuel his passion. “Seeing people dance, smile, and lose themselves in the music—that’s what it’s all about.”

Whether commanding an underground club or a festival stage, Mihai’s sound remains unmistakable. “He had it from the start,” says friend and agent Benny Grauer. “You always know when it’s Mihai. And it’s always on point.”

Kyiv-based DJ and producer Eugene JOSS belongs to a privileged circle of artists to have enormously influenced the development of Ukrainian electronic scene and to have raised its quality bar high throughout the last 15 years. Joss has achieved it particularly due to his firm beliefs and creative creed: high-quality sound and vinyl sets only!

JOSS has turned his passion for wax into his own international brands — Artreform Records and Jerelo Records, the labels specializing in vinyl editions. Seven years later today both, Artreform and Jerelo can boast more 45 vinyl releases in their catalogs. The imprints have put out original titles by Joss himself, which repeatedly performed amazingly well in the Decks and Juno charts, as well as the singles from a number of globally recognized artists ranging from Franco Cinelli, Silat Becksi, SCSI-9 and Robot Needs Oil up to Benno Blome, Frank Lober, Djebali, Rhadow and IO. 

Whether he is packing his DJ bag with records for a forthcoming set or checking out fresh demo submissions for Artreform, Joss always relies upon and trusts his already well-recognized taste. His sets and original productions are constantly dominated by highly energetic tech house, classic house with emphasize on the ‘deep’ variety, and some quite ingenious, adventurous techno.

Having opted for ‘grown up’ dance music, Joss distinctly realizes all the responsibility he commits to: personally and creatively. Nowadays the eponymous Artreform Studio offers producers a wide range of analog synthesizers and advanced gear to extract the most extraordinary and distinctive sound possible. One of the best recording studios around Kyiv, Artreform is at the core of building a strong community of artists and musicians from the Ukrainian capital, a city undoubtedly rich in talents.

The recent bright episodes of Joss’s career are a split release with the German producer Benno Blome out on the latter’s label, Sender Records, and a successful run of releases on his very own imprint, Artreform. The best performer of the batch has appeared to be a release by SCSI-9 from Russia. To promote this release, Joss and SCSI-9’s member Anton Kubikov organized a series of showcases at a number of venues, including Kyiv club Port and Berlin’s IPSE.
