About Taly Shum

Bio

Taly Shum combines melodic techno, progressive house and indie dance in a career that developed from club DJing into production and international touring. Based in Dnipro, she began releasing her own music in 2021 after years of performing, including overseas residencies in India and Thailand. Those jobs taught her to handle different audiences and refine the practical skills of mixing, while the pandemic gave her time to study production. Releases on Bunny Tiger, ZEHN and Area Verde helped establish the production side of her work; more recent tracks include “Lose Control” on Deeper Harmonies and “I N A B” with Artaria. Her WE SPEAK MUSIC show provides another outlet, featuring Ukrainian electronic artists and producers. Filmed sets are also a substantial part of the project, made with her partner StanLee and professional camera crews. Although she regularly performs abroad, she has remained in Ukraine, describing music and its communities as an important source of support during the war.
