Born in Sofia, Bulgaria at the end of the Socialist era, Pavel Petrov was raised in a time when western cultural influence swept across the capital bringing with it a new wave of musical inspiration. Emerging from the ashes of the post-communist era was a vibrant electronic music scene in which Pavel was regarded as a music selector by his peers whilst becoming an internationally respected DJ and producer. With a background in music and natural talent there’s no horizon when it comes to blending sound, genres & styles. Naturally Pavel’s desire to express his musical creativity developed and started to take shape in the studio. Many of his productions found their way into the Beatport charts for Indie Dance, Tech & Deep House. His music is regularly selected by trendsetters like Adriatique, Maceo Plex, Adam Beyer, Kevin de Vries, Gordo / Carnage, Camelphat, Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Maya Jane Coles, Claptone, M.A.N.D.Y., Joris Voorn, John Digweed and many more. Commitment & consistency brought 2018 as the most successful year for him yet. Through his curated events Pavel has brought ‘EXE’ club to the forefront of the electronic music clubbing scene in Sofia. It’s here where he resides & shares the decks with some of the worlds most highly regarded electronic music acts. There is a fine line between genius and insanity that Basti Grub has been balancing on for over 10 years. A time of intrepid experimentation with different musical influences and stylistic outbursts. A multi-faceted coming of age process that has made him what he is today - a creative madman whose mental orchestra never stops.

Whether its different instruments, modular systems or synths Basti Grub who was born in Frankfurt loves the unpredictable and never limits himself by thinking in conventional terms.

From a very early age onward it became clear that Basti´s fascination with music would take center stage in his life. The roots: reggae music, a Roland MC 303, turntables and life-changing trips to Omen and Robert Jonson which would lay the foundation to Grub´s concept of club-orientated sound.

About two years ago Basti Grub made a musical leap forward that took him to where he was already aiming for in his beginnings – a sophisticated minimalist yet groovy sound with high standards. This development did not go unnoticed and led to Basti Grub becoming the producer one of the Techno institution Timo Maas.

Basti Grub is currently working on his fourth studio album and participating in a variety of new and interesting projects that are yet to come out
