Before Pablo Bolivar became known for finely detailed electronic music, a teacher played him Jean-Michel Jarre and gave him a decisive glimpse of how sound could be built. Bolivar has recalled making a childhood radio programme called Cero Decibelios and later studying sound engineering, experiences that help explain the care he brings to space, texture and pacing. The Spanish producer moves between deep house, dub-inflected electronics and patient ambient listening without treating them as separate worlds. In 2014 he founded Seven Villas, a label he described as a home for music that genuinely makes him feel something; its catalogue has since become central to his work, including the Anjanas series and the album Framework of a Dream. Bolivar’s records favour gradual immersion over quick spectacle, letting small harmonic shifts and quietly persistent rhythms carry the story.
