Mike Foyle brings a composer’s ear to progressive electronic music. Classical training and piano writing underpin his approach to trance, giving his club productions a melodic character that also extends into work for audiovisual projects. Space Guitar drew the attention of Markus Schulz early in his career, while his partnership with Signalrunners on Love Theme Dusk made the piano a central part of his dancefloor identity.
His musical range reaches beyond that association. Recording as Statica, Andromeda and Bolt as well as under his own name, Foyle has explored everything from smooth progressive trance to harder techno. Collaborations with Filo & Peri add another dimension to that work. His DJing has reflected the same breadth, placing classic trance alongside more contemporary material while keeping atmosphere and melody in view. The contrast between instrumental sensitivity and club energy runs through these different projects.
