Bio

John O'Callaghan is a central figure in Irish trance, known for combining high-energy DJing with records that balance emotional vocals and tougher club rhythms. Big Sky with Audrey Gallagher and Find Yourself with Sarah Howells are among his best-known productions. His performance history includes Cream at Amnesia, Trance Energy and Creamfields, alongside a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2008. Subculture extends that musical identity through a label, radio programme and events, giving other artists a place alongside his own work. The Joint Operations Centre alias explores a harder, techno-influenced direction, while Key4050 pairs him with longtime friend and collaborator Bryan Kearney. Their official debut at Dreamstate in 2017 brought years of shared studio work into a live setting. Across those different names and roles, O'Callaghan remains closely connected to the trance community he helped build at home and the international audiences that followed.
