Bio

Rafa'EL is a Polish producer whose progressive-house work grew out of an earlier interest in hip-hop and street art. An ATB set at Soundropolis helped turn that interest toward electronic production, a moment he still recalled vividly in a 2021 interview with Progressive Astronaut. His enthusiasm for analogue sound has led him to collect synthesizers, although his working method is not restricted to hardware. Atlantis Flower, made with Carsten Halm, combined a largely software-based production with pad and lead parts played on a Moog Subsequent 37. Alongside Strange Town Recordings and Movement Recordings, ICONYC has been an important connection, releasing both his own music and his remix work with fellow Polish producer Tuxedo.
