In a 2019 interview, Marco Resmann recalled learning the mechanics of mixing in 1994 with a tape recorder and a single turntable. Production followed only after DJing had already become part of his life. The Berlin artist later established parallel outlets for that experience: a Watergate residency beginning in 2006, the label Upon.You in 2007, and the long-running Luna City Express partnership with Norman Weber. His studio practice still favors momentum over endless revision. In the same interview, Resmann explained that Hologram was not planned as an EP; its title track began with drums and groove on a Vermona DRM1 MKIII and Prophet-6 and was finished in one session. His solo catalogue, collaborations and remixes now reach from Mobilee and Upon.You to Moon Harbour, while retaining the rhythmic economy of music tested from a DJ’s perspective.
