Following offerings on Origins, elrow Music, Nervous, Stereo Productions and many others, Chilean artist and Cox Music CEO Cris Ocaña makes a striking debut outing on Aparenzza Music with an emphatic single titled “The Sax”. Joining Cris on the release, Camilo Do Santos & Adiel Mora are on hand to deliver individual remixes. Kicking off with the title cut, “The Sax” sees Ocaña open his account with Aparenzza in impressive fashion. Swinging grooves and funky percussive flare drive the core of the track alongside a catchy bassline melody and atmospheric breaks, loaded with energetic synths and vocal chops, brought together with splashes of that epic sax sample. Adiel Mora’s Remix comes next, turning up the pace and stripping back the mix to allow for the introduction of spacey synths and velvety analogue musicality, putting a pleasantly raw spin on the original. Camilo Do Santos’ Remix seals the release with another unique take on “The Sax”, electing for heavier beats and bouncing bass throughout.
